Maruti Suzuki Increases its Cars Prices

India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it has increased the prices of all its range by up to Rs 5.250 with immediate effect so to avoid the foreign exchange flucutation impact and rising input costs.
Commenting on the same, one of the company’s spokespersons said, "The average hike in the price across models is around 1 per cent and the range will be between Rs 2,500 and Rs 5,250," The company had indicated about the price hike in the last month only, it said that the MSI would hike prices of its products because of various factors, and there is a lot of pressure on the company’s margins due to foreign exchange fluctutation and rising input costs.The company had also said that to fight with the adverse currency movement, it is aiming to deduct its foreing exchange exposure by nearly 65 per cent to $ 600 million by march 2015 for which MSI is working with its vendors in order to reduce imports. The company has also been working on to increase the exports of its products to handle the situtation.
The other car makers including the Honda Cars India, GM, Audi, Renault, Toyota too have announced to hike the prices of some of their products, and finally MSI too had to take the decision to face the uneven economy
