Maruti Suzuki Ritz Automatic is in discussion for quite some time now, the car which was speculated to be launched in December 2012 only, will now launch in January 2013, some reports suggest. Since the information about the vehicle has already been aired on its official website, so we have all details what all features and changes it will be coming up with.
Maruti Ritz automatic will be made available only in the VXi Petrol variant and to house the similar 1.2-litre K-series engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission that does its duty to Maruti Suzuki A-Star automatic. The Ritz automatic will be the third automatic vehicle from Maruti Suzuki in India.
The closest competitors of the vehicles are Hyundai i10 automatic and newly launched Honda Brio AT. But Brio still has the competitive advantage over other two as it offers the best-in-class AT gearbox that too with a five-speed. So the one thing which will play the major role is the pricing, how good Maruti Suzuki prices the vehicle, and some media reports suggest that the Ritz AT will be priced more than the Brio AT, which costs Rs 5.74 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), however MSI hasn't commented on the pricing as of now.
