The long wait for Mercedes-Benz B-Class finally comes to an end, as the Merc guys are all set to unveil the compact sports tourer on 19th of July at Buddh International Circuit. FYI Mercedes is the official partners with BIC. And as CarDekho has reported earlier that the launch will happen in the month of September, 2012. The B-Class was first unveiled at 2011 Frankfurt motor show, Germany.

Mercedes-Benz B-Class

The coming B-Class is likely to be coming in both the petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is expected to house a 1.8-litre engine, whereas the diesel be 1.6-litre engine powered. The features like Pre-safe, Lane Assist and various other contemporary features will come as standard. Mercedes-Benz B-Class will come as a CKD, which will help the company to keep its pricing quite reasonable, on the other hand Merc is increasing the production capacity of its assembly to 20,000 from the existing 10,000, and the focus will be on developing the compact cars like the B-class.

Mercedes-Benz B-Class

Although, the price of B-Class has not been revealed officially, yet we expect it to launch in the price bracket of Rs 23-29 lakh. The closest rival of the coming B-Class are Audi Q3 and BMW X1, which are doing reasonably good in India, so the pricing will be the deciding factor about its future in the sub-continent. CarDekho will get an opportunity to try its hands on the all new B-Class, so watch this space for the detailed review. Cheers!!
