Mercedes is Readying its Latest Coupe SUV; GLC Concept

The Stuttgart based manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz, has showcased the GLC Coupé Concept that is one of its latest breeds of vehicles. The first one was the GLE Coupé and is performing great in its flesh and blood. The Concept is set to premier at Shanghai Auto Show and is expected to come into production soon.
Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Daimler AG, said "With its modern and sensual design idiom, the Concept GLC Coupé gives a foretaste of future SUV models from Mercedes-Benz. At the same time, it embraces the typical values of tradition-steeped Mercedes-Benz coupés.
This all new SUV will be stacked against BMW X4 and will be getting proper credentials to do so.
Subsumed With Mercs latest design language, GLC Coupé looks the part. Upfront, there is the familiar twin blade radiator grill, powerdomes on the bonnet and large airscoops on both side of the front bumper. While the sides carry an elegance accentuated by character lines and the dropping roof line silhouette. The rear escalates the definition of an SUV, features S-Class-Coupé-like back, but more stubby and an outlandish lower diffuser that host twin exhaust tip on either side.
Powering this beauty will be a 3.0 litre V6 biturbo motor that produces 367 Bhp@5500rpm and a peak torque of 520 Nm@1400-4000rpm. The engine will come mated to a 9-Speed automatic with DIRECT SELECT gearshift.
Dimensionally, it stands 4723 mm long, 2000 mm wide and 1593 mm tall while its wheelbase stands at 2827 mm. Apart from these, it rides on 21-inch alloys wrapped with 255/50 and 285/45 tyres at front and rear orderly.
