Guess who comes to support Mumbai Police, it is none other than Tata Motors' Tata Nano. For the tour of duty on small lanes and then chasing criminals there, Mumbai Police could just get hold of Tata Nano. According to the reports, the Mumbai Police is doing some trial on Tata Nano and looking at the possibilities of making Tata Nano as the part of Mumbai Police.

Rumor has it that the officials from Tata Nano have paid a visit to the office of the commissioner of Mumbai Police on Monday and proposed them to use Tata Nano. After this meeting, the Mumbai Police has kept back one Tata Nano within the Commissioner’s office premises to check its efficiency.

One of the senior officers of Mumbai Police said that they make use of the motorcycles while patrolling in the narrow lanes of Mumbai. However, Tata Nano has not only one but many advantages, which comprise of fewer parking spaces, could surely replace motorcycles at least during the night patrolling and furthermore, the weapons could be stored in the car very easily. He also mentioned that one Tata Nano has been kept back in the Mumbai Police headquarters for a day for testing purposes. However, till now no final decision has been made.
