Mahindra Bolero, the best-selling SUV (sports utility vehicle) in the Indian market, has been going through a golden phase in the Indian market as the company is registering a massive demand for this car in the country, especially from the rural areas. But the company seems to be struggling to meet the upwards shooting demand for this vehicle as its supply has been bottle necked in the country since last few months. At present, it takes anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks to deliver this vehicle in the Indian market depending on the availability of a particular variant in a particular color.

However, Mahindra is working hard to break the shackles of capacity constraints and catch-up with the mounting demand of this vehicle in its domestic market. The company is planning to enhance its manufacturing capacity in the country along with launching a new variant of this vehicle so that it can make the most of the ongoing high-demand momentum. Currently, the annual sales of the Bolero model falls more than 70,000 units in the country. Interestingly, the smaller towns contribute more than 70 percent of the total sales of this vehicle in the Indian market.
At present, the Bolero model is available in the price range of Rs 4,94,000 - Rs 6,73,945 (ex-showroom Delhi) and carries a range of variants including Bolero 2.5D LX 2WD 8 seater, Bolero 2.5D LX 2WD 7 seater, Bolero 2.5D GLX 2WD 8 seater, Bolero 2.5D GLX 2WD 7 seater, Bolero 2.5D LX 4WD 8 seater, Bolero 2.5D GLX 4WD 8 seater and Bolero 2.5D GLX 4WD 7 seater.
