Renault Fluence Electric sedan to launch by April 2011

Rumours are doing the rounds that Renault is all geared up to bring its first car under its own brand in the Indian market. Renault's independent venture, Renault Fluence electric sedan has been sneaked on roads on several occasions. Renault Fluence electric sedan is most likely production ready and could be launched by April this year in the Indian auto industry. There is a buzz around that the company is also planing to launch the Koleos SUV towards the end of the year.

CEO, Renault, Mr Carlos, has made a prediction about the expansion of Indian market by 2020. He said that the Indian market will witness a significant increase from 2.4 million units to 6 million units by 2020. With the onset of a manufacturing facility in India in alliance with Nissan motors , Renault Motors has started working towards making an impact on the booming Indian auto industry.

Renault is also working towards making India its 11th largest auto market. Renault is planning big for India and is all set to manufacture six car models by the time it creates a niche for itself in the Indian market. It has set up a target to roll out three million cars by 2013 across the globe, in comparison to 2.6 million cars it sold in 2010. At present the company does not have any car model in the Indian car market.
