Renault India has recently made a solo comeback in the Indian Car Market by launching Renault Fluence. The luxury segment sedan Renault Fluence price in India is just about Rs. 14 lakh to Rs. 15 Lakh. Now the french car maker is all set to introduce its SUV model, which will be known as Renault Koleos. As per reports, this SUV is expected to be released in the month of October 2011. Apparently, Renault is also planning to introduce 3 new models by next year in the country.

In flow with the reports, Mr. Len Curran, the VP of Sales & Marketing of Renault India told the media that its SUV Renault Koleos will be launched this Diwali and in 2012, three fresh models will be introduced as well. The firm has kept its fingers crossed and is targeting on capturing at least 2.5% of the market share in India by 2013. For this French Automaker, India is in the top three premeditated countries. But, it will surely not be a cakewalk for Renault to survive and sustain in the Indian Auto Market. Many auto makers are already prepared to give Renault Koleos a very hard-hitting competition. Besides, the recently launched Renault Fluence is currently in competition with Volkswagen Vento and Ford Fiesta beside others.

However, to survive in the car market of India, Renault needs grab at least 5% of the market share in India to make its position safe and secure in the Indian car market. Another thing which is pretty notable is that Indian auto market is now happily welcoming the European products. Renault India is currently looking forward to a chance to break new ground by launching in the LCVs or Light Commercial Vehicles in India. Renault shares its manufacturing plant with Nissan in Chennai. This plant keeps the capacity of manufacturing around 400,000 cars per annum. Currently, approximately Rs. 5000 Crore investment has already been made in this Greenfield plant.
