Renault, the French auto maker declared its plan on Wednesday to launch five new models by the year 2013 that would also include a compact car. The company is already on with a rapid expansion plan in India aiming to establish 70 dealer outlets in India by 2013. The first products to be rolled out from the company's outlets would be a sedan named Fluence and a crossover named Koleos that would be launched by the mid of 2011. The expansion plans would be supported by a massive advertising campaign for which the company has already roped in for a multi-agency pitch.
Senior officials from the company clarified the plans Renault has for three years starting from 2011. The launches would include a hatchback as well, that would be launched in India. In order to cater to a wider range of products in its global portfolio, the company would launch Fluence and the Koleos in 2011 which would then be followed by a foray of cars.
The opening of multiple dealership outlets would take place in rounds as initially the company would launch 7-8 outlets in the metros that would parallely be supported by a number of dealership outlets across the countries. Renault this time want to cater to the Tier II and Tier III cities as well, which would in all take 3 years to completely operate.
Advertising agencies have already been asked to submit their credentials to the company's advertising department as the final agency would be selected in the month of July. Many agencies are on their way to submitting their best results in order to lieu this french car maker. This is going to be a big advertising blitz for the Indian advertising agencies as whoever is booked would be booked for a period of 3 years, which means huge stakes.
Renault India Country General Manager and Managing Director Marc Nassif said that the company is up on the expansion plans that requires branding as the basic pillar of challenge. As announced by Renault in the Delhi auto Expo, Fluence and Koleos would be rolled out from its Rs 5,000 crore Chennai plant, developed jointly with Nissan.
