Tata envisages to assemble Nano in Indonesia and eastern Europe

The largest home grown automobile manufacturer, Tata Motors is searching for a vast market for their small car- Tata Nano. To enable a better market in overseas it is planning to set up assembling units in other countries other than India. The main foreign markets for the Tata Nano are Indonesia, Eastern Europe, Nepal and Sri Lanka thus, they are recently working upon assembling units in Indonesia to reduce the CKD charges. The strategy for the European countries is still not revealed, but indications are made for the neighboring countries as well as other specified countries.

Talking about Tata Motors' collaboration with Fiat, the Italian car manufacturing company which, unfortunately, does not have a promising sales figure since a long time, Mr. Ratan Tata reportedly, said that the volumes worked well for the Tata Motors but not for Fiat as the assumptions made were on the basis of off-take which did not execute properly. Being a fifty per cent stake holder the losses are equally shared between Tata Motors and Fiat. Both of these two companies are looking forward to revise their collaboration contract undertaking documents to find a better way out of the bad scene and manage more profitable prospect in future.

Tata Motors may also bring in an electric car for the Britain and the Norway markets.Tata Motors may also come up with a new assembling facilities in China for the tasks of assembling the Range Rovers. Speculations are high regarding a joint venture between Tata Motors and Jaguar to work upon engine projects to make more proficient engines for the future cars. Tata has bought the British car brand, Jaguar Land Rover from Ford Motors a few years ago which has turned up to be one of the successful business deal these days for Tata Motors, with almost 60 per cent of the total sales out of this venture solely.
