Tata Motors geared up to push Tata Nano sales

Recently, the chairman of Tata Motors, Mr. Ratan Tata did admit the mistake regarding the distribution and marketing of Tata Nano and to make it right, the company is now all prepared and geared up to push the Tata Nano sales with its new strategy. The proposals of the new tactic will reach out to numerous sections of the aspiring consumers, which would include initiatives to unknot the perception that Tata Nano is a poor man’s car. With this, the sales of Tata Nano have already improved substantially and yielding great results.

This information was given by the VP of Tata Motors, Mr. R Ramakrishna. He also mentioned that major marketing activities have fallen into place as of now and the company is reaching out to the target segments, which includes handling the consumers at its dealerships, network strategy and collaborations with numerous financiers. Almost all the elements have fallen into the right place now. Tata Motors is also setting up exclusive showrooms for Tata Nano cars in Tier-IV and Tier –III cities across India. Mr. R Ramakrishna also pointed out that the traditional Tata Nano buyer is comparatively scared to go to a full-grown car showroom to buy Tata Nano. Besides the current showrooms, Tata Motors is busy setting-up about 105 exclusive Tata Nano showrooms along with 250 special kiosks. On the whole, the firm currently has about 750 sales points, where Tata Nano is available.

According to Mr. R Ramakrishna, the Tata Nano is intended at many segments and Tata Nano is being marketed in different ways for customers of diverse age groups. Without unveiling the actual statistics, he mentioned that the sales have improved decently. The company is now practically happy with what is being done and what will be done in near future. The main purpose is to make use of the full capacity at the Sanand manufacturing plant. Moreover, the firm is succeeding to expectations. He also said that at any time a new car is launched, people need some time to comprehend if it actually works for them or not. Hopefully, the new strategy will work for Tata Motors and make Tata Nano more successful in the country.
