Tata Motors sells 45,215 units in September 2015

India’s largest automobile company, Tata Motors has seen 2% lesser sales in September 2015 of its Passenger and Commercial vehicles as compared to September 2014. Collectively, 45,215 units were sold in September 2015 compared to 46,154 in September 2014 (including exports).
In the Passenger Vehicle category- 11,774 units were sold last month compared to 11,931 units in September 2014. Further dividing the category, Passenger car units sold in 2014 were 9,766 and saw a jump of 5% in September this year. However, UV sales dropped by 28% at 1,548 units in September 2015.

Collective sales with exports for the FY stood at 242,569 units, higher by 2% compared to 236,670 units sold last year.
In the Commercial vehicle sphere - M and HCV sales have increased by 15,915 units, which has grown by 52%, compared to September 2014.
A decline of 29 % was seen in the Light & Small Commercial Vehicle segment which reflects the industry decline in this segment and registered sales of 13,124 units. Impact of this was seen on commercial vehicles sales for Tata Motors in our domestic market, which was 29,039 units last month.

Total sales of commercial vehicles was also 4% less than last year in the domestic market for the FY which was 149,361 units.
In the Export section, 16 percent less exports were seen in September 2015 at 4,402 units compared to 5.246 units in September 2014.
