Take a closer look at all the comprehensive changes in the 2023 Nexon EV facelift
The Tata Nexon EV facelift is here with a silent bang (pun intended). Visually, it almost looks like a new generation of the electric SUV, though it’s still a facelift, just a very thorough one! It will go on sale on September 14, while the bookings will start on September 9.
So, let’s take a deep dive into the Tata Nexon EV facelift by exploring it in the detailed gallery below.
EXTERIOR
FRONT
Up front, the Tata Nexon EV facelift bears little resemblance to the version it replaces. The closed-off grille is now replaced by the sleek connected LED DRLs, which also show the charging status through a pulse effect. Sequential turn indicators make their way on board, usually a luxury car feature. Wrapping up the new fascia are the split air dams, and air curtains at the ends of the bumper.
SIDE
The side profile remains unchanged, save for the new 16-inch aerodynamically styled alloy wheels, identical to its ICE version.
REAR
Moving towards the back, you’re greeted by the new connected LED tail lamps with welcome light function. The boot design has been completely reshaped and so is the rear bumper. On the boot lid, you can find ‘Nexon.ev’ inscribed, which is the new branding for the car. Tata has hidden the rear wiper, which is installed under the rear spoiler.

COLOURS
The Nexon EV facelift can be specced in seven colours - Creative Ocean, Fearless Purple, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Intensi-Teal, and Flame Red.
INTERIOR
Just like the Nexon facelift, the Nexon EV facelift has a fresh new interior design with two large displays and a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. Depending on the variant and colour, you can choose between different interior themes: black and blue, black and purple, and black and white.
The centre stage is taken up by the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, unique to the Nexon EV for now, which supports connected car technology and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s also the 9-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer.
The Nexon EV facelift uses a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, which shows a plethora of information, including remaining range, regenerative braking level, digital speedometer, and charging status. The display also shows on-screen navigation when connected through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Other features on the 2023 Nexon EV include an electric sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and ventilated front seats.
SAFETY
For safety, the Tata Nexon EV facelift gets six airbags, ESP, and a rear parking camera as standard.
Higher variants get a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor, front parking sensors, and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.

POWERTRAINS
Tata offers the Nexon EV facelift with the same two battery packs - 30.2kWh and 40.5kWh. The smaller pack now carries the ‘MR / Mid Range’ name and offers a range of up to 325 kilometres. The Max is replaced by the ‘LR / Long Range’ which claims up to 465 kilometres of driving range.
Paddle shifters do add the thrill of driving for an ICE, but on the Nexon EV, it’s for adjusting the level of brake regeneration.
You can choose between Eco, City, and Sport driving modes, which alter the driving experience and range available.
CHARGING TIME
With a fast charger, the Nexon EV’s mid- and long-range variants can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 56 minutes. A 7.2kW AC charger takes 4.3 hours to charge the medium-range variants from 10 to 100 percent, while the same is done in six hours for the long-range variants.
It also supports V2L capability to power appliances using the electric SUV’s battery pack, as well as V2V to charge another EV if needed.
The Nexon EV facelift is expected to be priced from around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the Mahindra XUV400 EV.
