Tata Nexon EV Facelift Launched At Rs 14.74 Lakh

The mid-range variants offer a range of up to 325km, while the long range variants can run up to 465km

• The Nexon EV facelift ranges from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom). 

• Available in three trims - Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. 

• Gets comprehensive styling upgrades inside and out for a bolder look. 

• Now features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. 

• Safety gets better with six airbags (STD), 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and blind spot monitor. 

The Tata Nexon EV facelift has been launched in India, with prices ranging from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom). India’s best-selling EV gets its first major update after its debut in 2020. The bookings for it are already underway and its deliveries are scheduled to commence soon. 

Variant Wise Price

Three broad trims to choose from, which are as follows: 

Tata is planning to introduce EV-specific dealerships from next quarter. In the first phase, five dealerships are being planned, which will increase with time. 

New Styling

The facelifted Nexon adapts a more modern and trendy styling language with a sleeker grille, connected LED DRLs and tail lights, split headlamp setup, and redesigned bumpers. It also sits on new aerodynamically styled 16-inch alloy wheels. The design changes are almost in line with the Nexon, but to help it differentiate more, Tata has added some exclusive elements. 

The cabin also gets a new life with a new dual-tone theme, redesigned dashboard, slimmer AC vents, and a touch-enabled AC control panel. There’s also the Tata Avinya-inspired 2-spoke steering wheel with a backlit display housing the Tata logo.

Updated Battery Packs

The Nexon EV facelift gets 30kWh and 40.5kWh battery packs. However, the range has improved up to 325km (+13km) and 465km (+12km), respectively. Both the variants see a drop in the maximum torque figures, while the long range variant sees a power jump of just 1PS. 

Charging Time

The Nexon EV facelift can be charged from 10 to 100 percent in just 56 minutes, thanks to a DC fast charger. It also supports vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle charging functions, acting as a power bank for electrical appliances, and even other EVs! 

Rivals

The Tata Nexon EV facelift rivals the likes of the Mahindra XUV400 while being an affordable alternative to the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV.
