Update: Tata Takes Covers Off The Nexon EV Facelift
After the unveiling of the updated Tata Nexon, the Tata Nexon EV facelift is next in line, which will be revealed tomorrow. While there were several spy shots of the Nexon facelift, very little is known about its electric iteration. However, a couple of teasers have given us a glimpse of the changes that we can expect to its exterior profile.
So, ahead of the unveil, here are all the changes you can expect onboard:
New Name
Tata has rebranded its electric vehicle arm and all the models will likely carry the “.ev” suffix. So, the subcompact SUV will now be called “Nexon.ev”.
Fresh Styling
It will sport a fresh styling, which will be significantly different from its pre-facelift version, but similar to the facelifted Nexon. The teaser shows the typical closed-off grille of an EV with a new connected LED DRL.
The split headlamp setup and the redesigned bumper will look similar to the facelifted Nexon. New alloy wheels should also be a part of the facelift. At the back, we’ll see it flaunting connected LED tail lamps with welcome light function and a revised bumper design.

Revised Interior
Just like the Nexon facelift, its EV iteration will also receive a complete makeover inside the cabin. It should be covered in a new interior shade with refreshed seat upholstery and the new 2-spoke steering wheel. Furthermore, we can see some EV-exclusive design elements to differentiate itself from its ICE-powered version.
New Features
New features like the touch-enabled AC control panel, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, height adjustment for the co-driver’s seat, and a 9-speaker sound system will make it a more premium offering. The Nexon EV Max Dark edition already gets the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will be carried over to the other variants.
In terms of safety, six airbags are likely to be standardized for all variants. Other than that, the Nexon EV facelift should get a 360-degree camera, a blind view monitoring system, and front parking sensors.

Updated Powertrains
Currently, the Nexon EV Prime is available with a 30.2kWh battery pack, which claims a range of up to 312 kilometres. The Max is offered with a bigger 40.5kWh battery pack which should deliver up to 453 kilometres.
There are no details of any powertrain updates known yet, but we can expect more range or increased performance with more fast charging capabilities.
Expected Prices
The Nexon Ev facelift will demand a marginal premium over its current prices, which range from Rs 14.49 lakh to Rs 19.54 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the likes of Mahindra XUV400 EV.
