The list is a mix bag of an all-new electric SUV, a hybrid supercar, and a refreshed SUV
All the automotive action of 2023 is almost wrapped up but with December still to go, there’s a few models that will make their debut in India before the year ends. The last month of 2023 will see three new cars, including a Lamborghini supercar, break cover in India. Let’s have a look at what’s lined up:
Lamborghini Revuelto
Launch Date: December 6
Expected Price: Rs 10 crore
The Lamborghini Revuelto was revealed as a spiritual successor to the long-serving Lamborghini Aventador. After its global debut earlier in 2023, it’s now been confirmed for a launch in our market. It is the first series production Lamborghini to get an electrified powertrain, with its 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine getting three electric motors (1015 PS) mated to an 8-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission), and an all-wheel drivetrain (AWD). It gets three screens on the inside: a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8.4-inch infotainment system, and a 9.1-inch screen for the passenger. The Revuelto is also the first Lamborghini car to get a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Kia Sonet Facelift
Debut Date: December 14
Expected Price: Rs 8 lakh
The Kia Sonet is ripe for a mid-life update, receiving minor updates since its launch in 2020. Spy shots of the updated SUV have surfaced online multiple times. With the refresh, the entry-level Kia SUV will get a bunch of styling updates both on the inside and outside. Its equipment list could include a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera and possibly advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as well. Kia won’t tinker with the powertrains of the SUV, and will hence offer it with the same petrol and diesel engine-gearbox options as the current model.
Tata Punch EV
Debut Date: T.B.A.
Expected Price: Rs 12 lakh
The Tata Punch will be the next internal combustion engine (ICE) model from the Indian carmaker to get an electric derivative as well. It has been spied a few times, suggesting it will have some cosmetic tweaks over the standard model and be styled in line with the refreshed Tata Nexon EV. Although details of its electric powertrain are yet to be confirmed, Tata has said that it will offer a claimed range of more than 500 km. Feature updates will likely include a bigger touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, and up to six airbags.
These are all the new cars we are expecting to see before the year ends. Which one has got you the most excited and why? Share your answers in the comments.
