Top 4-Wheeler Headlines Of The Week (Oct 9-13): New Launches, Unveils, Updates On Upcoming Products And More

The week saw a lot of important launches, and updates, including price hikes as well

The mid-week of October was busy with a lot of special edition and variant launches from Skoda, Nissan, and even Mini. During the same period, Toyota and Volvo also raised the prices of their SUVs. We also saw an interesting spy shot of an upcoming SUV from Mahindra. Let’s take a look at all the important headlines of the week.

Tata Harrier & Safari Facelifts Launch Date

Tata has already taken the wraps off the Harrier and Safari facelifts, revealing almost every detail including features and specifications of these SUVs, except the prices. Tata has now also confirmed the launch date of both of these updated SUVs. The automaker has also revealed the fuel efficiency figures for the facelifted Harrier and Safari.

Nissan Magnite AMT Launched

We recently got the most affordable automatic subcompact SUV in India, in the form of Nissan Magnite AMT. Though a CVT gearbox was already available, it was only limited to its turbo petrol variants. The non-turbo variants of the Magnite now also get an optional AMT transmission.

Skoda Slavia Gets A Matte Paint Option

The Skoda Slavia joined the matte edition club with its brand-peer, the Skoda Kushaq. It features the same Carbon Steel Grey matte finished exterior shade, for which customers will have to pay additional premium. This matte paint option is only available with the tops-spec Style variant of the Slavia. 

Skoda also revived the 10-inch touchscreen system with top-spec style variants of the both Slavia and Kushaq.

Price Hikes This Week

The price hikes this week include Toyota Fortuner and the newly launched Volvo C40 Recharge. The Fortuner received its second price jump in 2023, while the introductory price of the C40 Recharge ended, as it bags over 100 bookings since its launch.

New Kia EVs Unveiled

On the special occasion of the Kia EV Day, the automaker showcased the new electric concepts: Kia EV3 SUV and Kia EV4 sedan. Along with these, the Korean marque also revealed more details on the Kia EV5. 

Mini Countryman Shadow Edition Launched

As the festive season has already begun, Mini has launched the Countryman’s Shadow edition in India, which is only limited to 24 units. The limited edition is based on the sporty Countryman Cooper S JCW model. 

VinFast Planning To Enter India
