Among the string of launches, the launch of Toyota Camry sedan in its revamped form is not very far off. As if to drive home the point, the 2012 Toyota Camry has been spotted recently during its test rounds. One of our close source has been lucky enough to catch hold of the new sedan without any camouflage, updating us on the new makeover. Speculations are rife that the Toyota Kirloskar Motors will introduce the new sedan with the petrol engine yet again. The only deficit could be the lack of diesel variant, which the auto major should have harped on.

The Indian bound sedan will however, come affixed with the 2.4 L petrol engine promising high fuel efficiency to meet the Indian car demands. But, the automatic gearbox is some form of consolation for the new Camry aspirants. Nevertheless, the lack of the diesel engine will continue to be the sore point to disappoint the consumers who are looking forward to the new Camry launch with the hope of a diesel variant. The global 2012 Toyota Camry will be powered by a 3.5 L V6 engine without any slightest shred of hope of it making it to India.
