Toyota Etios twins making headlines – motorsports, production in Brazil

Toyota India developed the Toyota Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback  keeping Indian car market in the mind’s eye. Initially, what was thought to be an experiment turned out to be a trump card for Toyota Kirloskar Motors. First came the Etios petrol variants closely followed by the diesel variants to tap the demand for the diesel cars in India. Another interest among the car lovers seemed to develop which is nothing but motorsports, more so since the first Formula 1 race was hosted by our country.

Now, TKM seems to be aggressively gearing up for the Etios racing Trophy in 2013 which is already on the brink of short-listing the participants for the upcoming Toyota car race with the first preliminary round to come up with the potential candidates for the Etios Cup. Hold on, Etios twins story does not end here.  Toyota India emerges with a new strategy for the two low cost cars who now hopes to develop a new production base in Brazil among the other plans.

By 2013, Toyota Kirloskar Motors hopes to initiate the production in the Brazilian market of South America. In the meanwhile, Toyota India has another brainwave. South Africa is another potential car market for the Toyota Etios sales and without leaving another minute to waste, the auto major is all set to export the cars to the countries where the Etios sedan and Toyota Etios Liva hatchback might sell like hotcakes.  TKM has recently introduced the sports concepts of Etios and Etios Liva at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.
