Toyota Motors which is getting huge response from its most popular Sedan Toyota Etios may launch the second edition of its popular luxury SUV Toyota Fortuner very soon. It is speculated that this edition 2 of the car would be launched just after the launch of its upcoming diesel hatchback Toyota Liva. Meanwhile the company has already announced that this diesel hatch would be launched by the second half of next year. There is no confirmation of this new second edition of the Toyota Fortuner by the company but it is believed to be launched before the end of next year.

Toyota Fortuner was launched in the month of August, 2009 and since launch over 10,000 units sold, after crossing this 10K mark an anniversary edition had also been launched on 1st April, 2010. Presently the car has 60 per cent market share in the segment and it is the major competitor of Honda CRV. In terms of technology and performance, the car is steps ahead from Ford Endeavour and Skoda Superb.

Presently Toyota Fortuner is available in both Diesel (one model) and Petrol (three models) which are powered by 1968 cc and 1798 cc powerplant, respectively. The car is available in both 7 speed Automatic Transmission and 6 speed Manual Transmission system. All the variants of this favourite SUV are available between price range of Rs. 18.28 lakh to Rs 26.38 lakh (Ex-showroom New Delhi).

The expected new Fortuner Edition 2 would be loaded with enhanced features, security system and mind blowing appearance along with power enhanced heart. As per speculations, the classy vehicle will come with additional features like LED tail lights, fancy front grille, Xenon head lamps, state of the art internal illumination, 4 speed auto transmission, rain sensor wipers, enhanced suspension, and sporty exterior along with Pearl White body shade. This second edition of the car would be priced at around Rs. 31 lakh.
