Toyota products become expensive

Toyota has recently raised the prices of three of its popular models. These models include Toyota Innova, Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Fortuner. The new prices will come into effect  from this month only. The rise in prices is up to Rs 29,000 which will depend upon the car model and also on its variant. A company official said that the price hike of Toyota Innova, Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Fortuner will be up to 1.50 per cent. As far as the price hike of Toyota Innova is concerned, it will go through a price rise between Rs 10,000 and Rs 17,000 from October 1 onwards.

The sports utility vehicle of Toyota, that is, Toyota Fortuner will go through a price rise of about Rs 29,000. The company attributed the price rise to the fluctuating currencies and also to the variations in dollar-yen. The models Toyota Corolla, Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner are produced by the company at its factory in the outskirts of Bangalore. It is also into the marketing of imported Toyota Camry, Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Prado models.

The decision of price hike from Toyota comes, after Mahindra and Mahindra, the largest tractor and SUV manufacturer of the country made the announcement of increasing the prices of its vehicles by Rs.8,000. Recently Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Hyundai Motors India Limited have also raised the price of their models. The automakers are doing so to meet the growing market demand.
