The leaked images of what we think is the 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser have surfaced the internet. Ample lot of changes seem to have taken place in the new version of the SUV. On an overall, the SUV now seems to sit much closer to the ground. This is rendered mainly due to the low sitting bumper, mostly because of the wider bumper design. However, the consumers can opt out of this according to the consumers’ preferences. One can easily understand why this could have been offered as an option in the SUV.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 2012 is ideal for those who like to have an off-roading experience at the same time comes in handy as a normal street car. But, a low sitting bumper will not be a right option for the mountain ranges where higher ground clearance is expected. The same holds good for the step added to the SUV clearly visible from the image, which is offered once again as an option. If rumours are to be believed, one might not see a change in the Toyota Land Cruiser price which is expected to sell at Rs 87 lakhs. However, optional features might add a little to the price tag. The basic headlamp design and the fog lamps also seem to be different from the outgoing model.

The new headlamp design now features an LED lamp and a Xenon lamp which marks the distinction. The interiors also seem to undergo a makeover to see a sea change. The beige and brown dual tone interiors seem different adding more touch of comfort to the already plush interiors. The wooden trims here and there add to its classy image. The engine specifications and the other changes are yet to be revealed and are still a mystery. The outgoing Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a 4.5 L V8 diesel powertrain under the hood coupled with a 6-speed automatic gear box. The peak power and the peak torque figures are 281 Bhp and 650 Nm respectively.
