Toyota Kirloskar's sales dipped 25 per cent during the first half of the year. That means the company could sell 21,000 cars in the first half as against 28,000 cars the previous year. Due the fall, the company's sell target, 52,000,  retained the same for this year too.  Mr Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) said that the company is confident enough to make up the loss in the second half. In the view of positive trend in coming second half, it suggests higher sales in the period. Toyota would also be increasing its focus on the small car segment where the volumes are higher. At present, the growth is from the small and medium sized cars, Mr Singh said.  Toyota would launch its small car by the end of 2010 or early 2011, he added.  The new plant for the small car would have an initial capacity of 70,000 units annually, which could be expanded to 100,000 units if necessary, the company said.
