2011 Volkswagen Touareg sneaked in Pune

Volkswagen India is eyeing to launch uplifted version of Volkswagen Touareg SUV on Indian shores, the facelifted Volkswagen Touareg was sneaked taking test drive in and around Pune. Volkswagen Touareg was bleakly covered and it displayed plates showing "On Test". Upgradation of Volkswagen Touareg has created a buzz in Indian auto market as the company has already lined up facelifted versions of Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat to hit Indian roads and now revised Volkswagen Touareg has also joined this queue of awaited cars.

The new Volkswagen Touareg encompass the old V6 TDI diesel engine procuring 240Bhp and a torque of 550Nm however new Volkswagen Touareg has effectively used BlueMotion Technology that results in reducing fuel sipping and emission. Major changes that new Volkswagen Touareg is expected to sport include new corporate grille and an eight speed transmission which ensures fuel saving. In addition to this, sources have revealed that the new Volkswagen Touareg is expected to shed 200 kilogram of weight thereby making it more fast and scotch.

Rumor has it that the revised Volkswagen Touareg is expected to roar on the Indian roads by this August however Volkswagen India is tight lipped regarding the price tag for this new SUV.Volkswagen India is currently in lime light due to the launch of its most awaited car, Volkswagen Jetta, which is scheduled to be on 17 August. This sedan car is expected to heat up sedan car segment. The revamped version of Volkswagen Jetta is expected to arrive in both diesel and petrol variants encompassing a 2.0L TDI diesel engine and a 1.8L TSI petrol engine respectively.
