Audi has teased the arrival of their latest baby (micro?) SUV, Q2. The car will make its world debut at the Geneva motor show, which is scheduled to be held in March 2016. The car was previously called Q1, but in September last year, Audi acquired Q2 and Q4 badges from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and named their latest SUV Q2. The teaser reveals Q7, Q5 and Q3 parked next to each other with their corresponding number plates and a fourth empty spot which is reserved.
Q2 was first confirmed by Audi in 2013. It has derived design cues from Audi’s Crosslane Coupe. The car is expected to feature diesel engines and an hybrid e-tron variant, which might be introduced later down the line. Audi also has plans to introduce a car called Q1, which might arrive in 2017. The upcoming SUV from the German automaker is based on Volkswagen's MQB platform and dimensions will be similar to the A3 hatchback.
At the 2016 Auto Expo, Audi made headlines with the A8L Security, the most expensive launch of the event. Priced at Rs. 9.15 crore, the car redefines a blend of luxury and security. The car boasts of being bullet proof, bomb proof and even chemical attack resistant. It has an auxiliary battery alongside an armoured communication box in the boot. A8L Security has its own intercom with speakers for communicating with the outside world. Owners can also have an emergency exit system, fire extinguishing system and an emergency fresh air system. It comes powered by two 4.0-litre engine configurations - V8 and W12 . V8 mill generates 429bhp, whereas the W12 has an output of 493bhp. The top-speed of the vehicle has been electronically limited to 210kmph.
