Recently in South India a Mahindra Bolero Marathon was organised by Mahindra and Mahindra to highlight fuel efficiency of its SUV model Bolero. 32 Mahindra Boleros took part in the 58 km Marathon and the clear winner, Mr Seby, clocked a mileage of 35.15 kmpl. The first runner up was James C.K. whose Bolero clocked average of 31.35 kmpl and the second runner up was Jamseer T.S. clocking an average of 28.79 kmpl.
Vivek Nayer, senior vice-president – Marketing, Auto Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd said, The Mahindra Bolero Mileage Marathon in Kochi gave a clear idea on fuel efficiency of India’s No. 1 SUV. The Bolero’s superior value proposition, style and rugged appeal coupled with our customer-centric approach to business have been major contributors to its success over the years.
The event was a great success as the families participated with great energy and winners received exciting prizes. There were various special events for the participants to entertain themselves. Mahindra and Mahindra first launched Mahindra Bolero in 2001 and the new Bolero with exotic design and style was launched in 2007. Later in September 2008, it introduced Bolero VLX powered with CRDe technology and in October 2008 Bolero SLX with Micro hybrid technology was launched. The upcoming cars in India are Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo .
