BMW X4 to unveil on March 6

German luxury carmaker BMW is all set to unveil its much-awaited sport crossover- the X4 on March 6. This model is scheduled to go on sale by the end of this year. A teaser video providing glimpse of the X4 has also been revealed.

Based on the X3 platform, the new X4 will be positioned as the downsized version of the next generation X6. The vehicle gets the familiar kidney grille with connecting headlight cluster. At the rear, it resembles the X6 and will be made available with M sport package. It gets a sportier silhouette with a sleeker roof-line, aggressive front and rear bumper design.

It is expected that BMW X4 will share the engine configuration with the X3. The vehicle is likely to be powered by the same 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo mill that produces 240bhp and a 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo that churns out a maximum power output of 200bhp. It could also get a more frugal 2.0L TwinPower Turbo diesel engine producing 181bhp and a maximum torque of 380Nm.
