At the Paris motor show this month, Chevrolet will reveal the facelifted Captiva SUV that features upgraded styling. The new Chevrolet Captiva has gone through changes in both of its interior and exterior finish. A sharply sculptured bonnet is the most noticeable change to the front of this model. A much larger grille has also been provided. The side air vents of Captiva carries a more angular shape while the rear light cluster has now become narrower.
The interior of Chevrolet Captiva has also been upgraded. It now features new seat fabrics. The changes that have been done in the interior of the car provide a more upmarket feel and look to the model. The interior also contains a USB port and Bluetooth connectivity. The other Chevrolet features that have been incorporated into this model include ice-blue backlighting and the wrap-around design of the front fascia. The wrap-around design flows into the front driver's and passenger doors. This in turn creates a dual-cockpit look. The standard kit of Captiva includes electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist and hill start assist for the prevention of roll-back on hill starts.

Chevrolet has claimed that it has improved the acoustic engineering of the car to reduce road, wind and engine noise. Currently, Captiva is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor. Till now there is no news regarding the engine changes for the Indian automobile market. But in Europe, the new Captiva will be introduced with the three new engines options as a 169bhp 2.4-litre petrol unit and two 2.2-litre, common-rail turbodiesel units with either 161 or 181bhp power outputs. The new facelifted Captiva is expected to ride Indian roads around Diwali 2011.
