Delhi Auto Expo might be organized at two venues

Country’s most awaited Automobile show Auto Expo which is organized at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi every year with an objective of promoting upcoming cars will be held at some other destination in 2012 due to non availability of space at Pragati Maidan. Auto Expo Show is considered as the best place for promoting and demonstrating the features of upcoming cars in the country preferably the new Cars. Every year this show is organized at Pragati Maidan as there is huge space to accommodate huge number of vehicles. But next year in 2012 the organizers may have to shift the show to some new destination because at the same time Pragati Maidan is reserved for some other event and after that there is long list of other events lined up to be organized at Pragati Maidan.

Talking to the press Mr. Vishnu Mathur who is the incharge of Auto Industry body in the country said that they are planning for some other location to unite the whole auto industry at one place in an organized way. As it is known Auto Expo has emerged as one of the hottest place for the auto manufacturing companies and is considered as the second largest Car market for the upcoming Cars in the country.

From last ten years the show was being organized at Pragati Maidan but this time the entire Maidan is already booked for some other event.

The Indian Auto Society along with industry body CII and Auto Component Body ACMA jointly hosts the Auto Expo show every year in India. The members of organizing committee also commented on the situation and said that the Expo Mart at Noida is considered as the second choice of organizers to host the expo show. Due to lack of space various companies including Ford India were not able to send their entry in the show during 2010. The problem in 2012 can be more serious if the show is organized at Pragati Maidan as more than two million visitors are expected to visit the show.
