Emerging markets might see a three-row Solio by Suzuki

At the 11th Auto Expo in Delhi, the Japanese auto titan Suzuki revealed Solio which is a look-alike of small car WagonR. The Solio is said to have been built with the parts of Wagon R and will also be sold as an extension to it. It is speculated that Suzuki Japan will be stretching Solio and adding an extra row to it which will result in a mini MPV. It has also been speculated three-row mini MPV model of Solio will not be confined to Japan but will also be considered for the global markets. The new car Solio is anticipated to be produced at the company’s production centre in Indonesia.
Maruti Suzuki is one the biggest and most-favored brand in the Indian car market with the maximum number of small cars traversing the roads of India. The Auto Expo 2012 saw the Solio, MR Wagon and Pallete at the stand of Maruti Suzuki, the company intended on garnering the thoughts of Indian customers on these models. Maruti Suzuki India is a smart player of the car market who is always ready to fill gaps with variants or upgrades. The company has maintained its extensive line-up with the original version of Swift Dzire even after the launch of its replacement. In India the price of Suzuki Solio could fall in the bracket of Rs 3.5- Rs 5 on top of the A-Star and WagonR.
