Facelifted Volkswagen Vento to launch in October

Volkswagen India has been successful in making its own individual identity in India in such little time. Recently, according to the speculations in the market, Volkswagen Vento is going through a makeover and is expected to be launched in October 2011. Volkswagen Vento was successful in making its mark in the C-segment of the Indian auto market and the A-segment of the market which was dominated by Honda City earlier,now seems to get neck to neck competition with Volkswagen Vento.  But it might be possible that the new and improved Volkswagen Vento will take over the A-Segment of Indian Auto market as soon as it is launched around October or so.

Honda Motors understood that it is essential that Honda must bring a change in the line of attack till the diesel variant of Honda City is launched. And change in plan of Honda India was commenced with 6% price reduction of Honda City. Volkswagen India is smart enough and smelled the danger, apparently Volkswagen India decided to give Volkswagen Vento a facelift and launch the improved sedan in October this year. If face lifted Volkswagen Vento is launched this year, it will certainly avert Honda City from taking benefit of the market.

Now the question is what would be so special in the new and improved Volkswagen Vento? Nothing extravagant as such, but it is expected that the new and enhanced Volkswagen Vento will have audio controls mounted on the steering much enhanced music system accompanied with cruise control. After the makeover, it is also rumored that Volkswagen Vento will also come with advanced tail and head lights, which could have smoked kind of effects and brand new color range.

With the changes being done on Volkswagen Vento, it could be possible that there might be a little price hike in the cost of Volkswagen Vento, but only a little not much. The new and improved Volkswagen Vento could give a tough fight to Ford Fiesta, Toyota Etios, Maruti SX4 and Hyundai Verna Fluidic. However, Volkswagen India also offers a range of cars for everybody, these include Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Phaeton, Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen Touraeg.
