Touted to be the product that will change Fiat's history in India – the wait is now over. Fiat has starting taking bookings of the new Avventura. All you need to do is call the number provided in the pictures and book the new Italian sensation. Fiat world premiered the Avventura Concept at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo earlier this year and kept the production model exactly like the concept apart from few alternations! The pricing will be competitive just like they did with the new Punto EVO.
Avventura is based on the new Punto EVO but having said that, the Avventura has its own individuality and road presence thanks to smartly done rear spare wheel. When compared to similar hatch turned cross alternation in the market like Etios Cross and Cross Polo, Avventura is way above with what it has on offer and make her sit somewhere near the riling compact SUV segment. Indeed, Fiat calls its India's first CUV – Contemporary Urban Vehicle.
What's unique in Fiat Avventura
- The biggest advantage of Fiat Avventura is that it rides 205mm above the ground! This ground clearance is similar to that of Renault Duster and slightly above Ford EcoSport.
- Fiat Avventura rides on 16-inch radials with fatter 205/55 cross-section tyres and standard alloy wheels!
- The Avventura is coming with a new shade like orange and brown while few shades will be picked from the EVO.
- Based on the Punto EVO's so the wheelbase of the car remained same, so rear seating is decent. But expect a large boot space as it has the spare wheel mounted on the boot-lid thus increasing the liberating more boot space.
- Fiat Avventura comes with functional metal roof rails compared to other vehicles which boast them just for aesthetic appeal.
- On the inside, it gets segment first high terrain gauges – inclinometer and digital compass.
- Speaking of the engine, Fiat will offer Avventura with 1.3 liter 90HP Multijet diesel and 1.4 liter FIRE petrol. The diesel engine produces 92bhp and 209Nm of torque while the petrol produces 88.8bhp (90PS) and 114Nm of torque. All the engines will be mated to a five-speed manual. Reportedly, Fiat has tuned the engine according to the Avventura so expect slightly better power and torque delivery.
