Era
The Era is the entry level variant of the Grand i10 facelift. The petrol version of the Era is priced at Rs 4.58 lakh and competes with hatchbacks like the Ignis Sigma (Rs 4.59 lakh), Swift LXI (Rs 4.76 lakh) and the Figo Base (Rs 4.66 lakh). The Era variant with a diesel engine has been priced at Rs 5.68 lakh and rivals the Swift Ldi (Rs 5.97 lakh) and Figo Base (Rs 5.71 lakh). The Grand i10 Era offers standard features such as manual air conditioner and front power windows.
The Ignis does not offer a diesel engine in its entry-level Sigma variant. However, it is the only car here to come equipped with dual airbags and ABS as standard. While the Grand i10, Figo and Swift offer a single driver airbag as standard, the Swift has an optional passenger airbag and optional ABS. The Figo misses out on power windows at the front, which is offered in the rest of the three cars. While the Grand i10 misses the tilt steering feature offered on all other cars, the Swift is the only car here to feature 60:40 rear seat folding option.
Magna
In addition to the features offered with the Era, the Magna gets additional features like front fog lamps, wheel covers, rear power windows and electronically adjustable outside mirrors. It is offered with both petrol and diesel engines and the petrol motor is also available with a four-speed automatic transmission apart from the standard five-speed manual.
While the petrol version of the Magna with the five-speed manual transmission is priced at Rs 5.22 lakh and competes with the Ignis Delta (Rs 5.19 lakh), Swift Lxi optional (Rs 4.81 lakh) and Figo Ambiente (Rs 5.06 lakh), the four-speed automatic transmission version carries a price tag of Rs 5.98 lakh and competes with the Ignis Delta AMT (Rs 5.74 lakh).
The diesel version of the Magna is priced at Rs 6.15 lakh and competes with the Delta variant of the Ignis (Rs 6.39 lakh), the Ambiente variant of the Figo (Rs 6.2 lakh) and the Ldi variant of the Swift (Rs 5.97 lakh).
While all the other cars are equipped with passenger-side airbags, the Grand i10 misses it. However, it is the only car here to offer a rear AC vent. Apart from offering ABS, the Ignis and the Swift are the only cars to offer an audio system with speakers. The Figo doesn't have electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, which is offered in the rest of the cars.
Sportz And Sportz (o)
The Sportz variant offers features like rear parking sensors, passenger airbag, 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a cooled glove box. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol version is priced at Rs 5.65 lakh, the diesel variant costs Rs 6.58 lakh.
In addition to the features offered with the Sportz variant, the Sportz (o) variant has extra features like reverse parking camera, electrically foldable ORVMs and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Mirror Link. The petrol version is available in both manual and automatic transmissions. While the variant with manual transmission is priced at Rs 5.96 lakh, the one with a four-speed automatic is priced at Rs 6.82 lakh. The Sportz (o) variant with a diesel mill and five-speed manual transmission has been priced at Rs 6.89 lakh.
In this range, while the petrol versions of the Sportz/Sportz (o) with manual transmission compete against the Ignis Zeta (Rs 5.75 lakh), Swift Vxi (Rs 5.52 lakh) and Figo Titanium (Rs 5.82 lakh), the diesel versions compete with the Swift Vdi (Rs 6.44 lakh), Figo Titanium (Rs 6.67 lakh) and the Ignis Zeta (Rs 6.91 lakh). The Sportz (o) variant with a petrol mill and four-speed automatic transmission competes against the Ignis Zeta AMT priced at Rs 6.3 lakh and the 1.5 Figo Titanium priced at Rs 7.44 lakh.
In terms of features, the Grand i10 is the only car in this range to offer a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, apart from offering a cooled glove box, LED daytime running lights, and reverse parking camera. While the Ignis offers push-button start/stop, the Figo offers automatic climate control, which is missing in the rest of the cars. However, the Grand i10 is not equipped with ABS, which is offered in the other cars.
Asta
The Asta is the top-end variant and comes with additional features like push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, ABS, and a rear spoiler. It is available with both petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol version has been priced at Rs 6.39 lakh and competes with the Ignis Alpha (Rs 6.69 lakh), Figo Titanium plus (Rs 6.36 lakh) and the Swift Zxi (Rs 6.37 lakh), the diesel version carries a price tag of Rs 7.32 lakh and also competes with the Ignis Alpha(Rs 7.80 lakh), Swift Zdi (Rs 7.44 lakh) and the Figo Titanium Plus (Rs 7.26 lakh).
The Figo Titanium plus offers a 4.2-inch infotainment display. However, only the Grand i10 and the Ignis feature a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and all cars except the Figo offer push-button start/stop. While all four cars feature front dual airbags and ABS, the Figo is the only car here to be equipped with side and curtain airbags. If we look at the price, the Ignis is the most expensive among the four in this range. However, it does offer additional features like full-LED headlamps and customization options.
