Honda SIEL Cars India is one of the best car makers in the country. With the new car launches on the cards, such as Honda Brio, Honda India is planning to double up its per month output to 10000 units by the month of November 2011. The major reason for this move is to restore the component supply, which was hindered because of a natural calamity in Japan this year.

Till March 2011, the production capacity of Honda India’s plant in Greater Noida was around 5000 units. Now Honda India plans to make this figure rise up to 120,000 units per year. Right now, about 60000 units are being manufactured. However, Honda India will carry on with a lower level of production of about 4000 units till the month of November this year. This low level of production could possibly lead to a hike in the waiting period of its car models, including Honda City, Honda Jazz and Honda Brio. Apparently, Honda Brio is likely to be launched on 27th September 2011.

Recently, Honda India revealed the brand new Honda Jazz at a very low price to give a tough competition to its rivals, which comprise of Hyundai i20, Toyota Etios Liva, Maruti Swift and Skoda Fabia. The new Honda Jazz price starts at Rs. 5.50 Lakh. Earlier the price of Honda Jazz was around Rs 7.13 Lakh, therefore the company decided to slash down the price by a whopping Rs. 1.63 Lakh, which will further help Honda India to boost up their sales.

It is quite evident that the competition in the Indian auto market has been increasing day by day now and so are the consumer expectations. Honda India is now hoping that this massive cut down in the price of Honda Jazz could actually help the firm to amplify their sales and lure more consumers towards it. Honda India has also recently slashed the prices of Honda City sedan by Rs. 66000 to get back on track.

However, if figures are taken into account, Honda Jazz’s monthly sales were constantly dropping and came down to 250 units, which is not impressive at all. On the other hand, now that the Honda Brio launch is near, its production is going to start very soon. Honda India has pretty high expectations from this hatchback.
