Hyundai launches the Grand i10, while BMW gets the 1 Series

With the festive season inching closer, the number of car launches are on a rise. The Grand i10 has been launched in India, and soon the global unveiling will happen at the Frankfurt Motor Show. India is an important market for the Korean manufacturer and hence we see the launch happening first in our market, and even the Grand i10 has been tweaked for Indian market conditions.

The BMW 1 Series is now the entry-level vehicle for the Munich based manufacturer. This hatchback will be available with a 1.6-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel, both powering the rear wheels through a eight-speed automatic transmission. Starting next week, we will have the Frankfurt Motor Show that will unveil several new vehicles that will be slated for Indian launch as well. The Audi A8 facelift, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Jaguar crossover— though in the concept stage at the moment— Hyundai i10, Suzuki SUV, Nissan X-Trail, Honda Civic Tourer.

Hyundai Grand i10 Launched at Rs. 4.30 lakh

India's second largest carmaker Hyundai Motors India has finally launched the much anticipated Grand i10 in India today. The petrol variants of the vehicle are priced in the range of Rs 4.30 lakh- 5.48 lakh, while the diesel variants are priced at Rs 5.24 lakh- 6.41 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi). The Hyundai Grand i10 has been offered in total four trims- Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta, available both in petrol and diesel versions. There will also be a Asta (O) trim for both petrol and diesel version. The vehicle will also make its global debut at the coming Frankfurt Motor Show, but India has become the first market to inspect both its unveiling and the launch. The Grand i10 will be made available in eight different colour options- Golden Orange, Phantom Black, Wine Red, Stardust, Sleek Silver, Silky Beige,Twilight Blue and Pure White. Read more

BMW launches the 1 Series for Rs 20.9 lakhs

BMW launches the 1 Series with two engines 116i and 118d, one being a petrol and other diesel respectively. These engines come mated to an eight speed transmission. All the models will get ECO PRO or better fuel efficiency. It gets the start stop engine button, run flat tyres, 50:50 weight distribution. Read more
