Riding on the success of its new hatchback 'Grand i10', Hyundai Motor India is working aggressively to further increase the production of the model to reduce the waiting period for customers. One can easily identify the demand for the vehicle by seeing that the company received 1.31 lakh enquiries regarding the car, since its introduction in the first week of September. Moreover, the firm has also registered around 13,000 bookings for the car till date.
Speaking to the PTI, Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President and Division Head (Marketing & Sales), HMIL, said, "We are overwhelmed by the response that the Grand i10 has generated. We are recalibrating our production to serve our customers faster".
However, the company hasn't revealed much about the strategy and quantity by which it would increase the production of Grand i10. The company delivered 8,411 units of compact car in September and has around 4,500 pending booking order. While the two top end variants - Hyundai Grand i10 Asta and Sportz have two months of waiting period, the base models Era and Magna have a waiting period of one month. Within the first month of Grand i10 launch, it enters into the country's top five highest selling models in India in September.
