Jeep, owned by Fiat Chrysler automobiles, is currently mulling over to introduce a compact SUV that will sit below their latest offering 2015 Jeep Renegade. Mike Manley, CEO Jeep said that they are keeping a close watch on how the compact SUV segment is flourishing across the globe.
Furthermore, commenting in context with the sub-Renegade SUV - "smaller cars are inevitably less capable and a level of capability is key to any Jeep product." He also stressed that the company's Fiat Panda Cross which is ‘incredibly capable for such a small car’ and ‘enjoying a lot of success at the moment in some markets’, could get inspirations from the Fiat Pant Cross! Jeep is entering India this year with Grand Cherokee and Wrangler and if the Sub-Renegade SUV ever sees the light of the day, it is most likely to enter in the country, since the compact SUV segment in the country is on steroids
