Back in 2018, Mahindra launched the TUV300 Plus, an extended version of the TUV300. In the BS4 era, the TUV300 Plus was available in three variants: P4, P6 and P8. The carmaker will soon launch the BS6 iteration of the 9-seater SUV that will also come with a mid-life refresh. Please note this is a leaked patent image and not an official image from Mahindra, so the final product may differ.
As per the image, the facelifted TUV300 Plus is seen with an updated Alturas G4-like front grille that looks identical to the one on the facelifted TUV300. It gets the Mahindra logo in the centre flanked by three vertical slats on both sides. Apart from that, the SUV also gets updated headlamps, a revised front bumper with a larger honeycomb pattern for the air dam, and sleeker fog lamps. Similar changes are expected at the rear with updated LED tail lamps and a revised bumper.
Although details regarding the interior of the SUV are yet to be known, we expect Mahindra to offer more premium features including a new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity in the higher variants of the SUV.
The TUV300 Plus is expected to come with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that powered the BS4 version. It produced 120PS and 280Nm in the BS4 guise, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The updated TUV300 Plus is expected to be priced at a slight premium over the corresponding BS4 variants that were priced at Rs 9.92 lakh, Rs 10.29 lakh and Rs 11.42 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Delhi). Even though it does not have any direct rivals as such, it takes on compact SUVs such as the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Mahindra is also expected to launch the facelifted TUV300 soon with similar styling upgrades.
