Maruti aimed to export over 1 lakh cars this fiscal year

Maruti Suzuki has set the target of exporting over 1.3 lakh cars in this fiscal year. The total export comprised of l lakh A-Star, Maruti 800, Estilo, and the Swift. According to marketing and sales officer Mayank Pareek, the company will shipped 70,000 A-Star models to European countries like Germany, Italy, France and Holland. Around 30,000 units of the same model will be sold to Nissan Motor Co. Both the car will be sold there with a different name like Suzuki Alto and Nissan Pixo, respectively. The remaining 30,000 units will be models like the Maruti 800, Estilo, and the Swift, which will be sold in Non European markets such as Algeria, Chile, Sri Lanka, and Egypt. The company exported 50,000 units in 2007-08, which increased to 70,000 units in the last fiscal year.
