Maruti car dealers have reported that the wait-list for Maruti Swift has reached a whopping figure of 90,000 and the company has stopped the dealers from taking any further bookings. They also reported that there is so much craze of new Swift in market that customers are ready to wait for new Maruti Swift but not ready to take any other car. The dealers offered the customers Maruti Ritz but they are not ready to barter their deal at any cost. Seeing such hysteria, the company has ramped up the production at Manesar and Gurgaon plant.

If such a speed is maintained, Maruti India will be able to deliver all Maruti Swift hatchbacks in 5-6 months. To bring this into effect, Maruti India has recruited more workers at the Manesar plant and engaged the Gurgaon plant in the production of new Swift. Maruti India has shifted 90 engineers from its Gurgaon plant to Manesar over the last few days and has recruited over 800 workers to scale up production. The total workforce at both the plants is over 1,300. However the agitation is still on and only 116 workers have signed the good conduct bond till now.
