Since past few months, car manufacturers are facing a bad time in terms of sales, all thanks to elevated fuel prices and higher interest rates. However, the midsized luxury car segment managed to keep their head high and make decent sales.

These midsized luxury cars include cars like Mercedes Benz E Class, Audi A6, BMW 5 series etc. All these luxury cars come with a price tag ranging from Rs. 40 to Rs. 60 Lakh. The car manufactures are also launching luxury cars between the range of Rs. 24 to Rs. 30 lakh and this is luring customers to a great extend. Since a past few months, the Indian car market is facing a hard time as far as sales of the cars are concerned.

But the luxury cars managed to save the grace and made decent sales. For example, from January 2010 to the month of July 2011, Mercedes Benz sold around 4,117 units of Mercedes Benz E Class, which is an impressive figure. Similarly, the German auto maker, BMW sold around 4,251 units of BMW 5 Series. On the other hand, Audi showed a 93% growth in the initial 7 months. As per a dealer of Mercedes Benz India, the midsized luxury car segment will boom in the coming time as the demand is increasing day by day.
