Just one more day, and we will have the new 2014 E-Class, which will be the Mercedes-Benz third successive launch in the Indian car market this year. The company has already introduced the new GL-Class SUV and A-Class premium hatchback, and the new E-Class will be the third to be launched in Delhi tomorrow.

The new E-Class will be a mid-life facelift, we can expect only major cosmetic changes to the car. However, the mechanics of the car are expected to remain same, or a little tuned engine lineup could be there in the car. The car looks similar to that of the vehicle unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show. The front fascia of the new E-Class will get a new grille, redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lamps and few more upgrades, making it more aggressive than before. The major change is made at the bumper and front lighting, as the split headlamp assembly has now been fitted to form a single console.

The rear end of the new E-Class will also get some upgrades like revamped tail lamp cluster and exhaust tips. The interiors of the car will also gets some design changes like redesigned dashboard, steering wheel and control knobs. It is also speculated that the company might also introduced an AMG model of the E-Class.

It is expected that the 2014 E-Class will be available with two engine options - the 2.0-litre direct injection petrol motor that develops 184bhp, and a 2.1-litre diesel engine making 201.4bhp. Both the engine options will be mated to a Mercedes 7G-tronic automatic transmission.
