Our editorial team’s travel specialist Sundeep Krishna spotted the new Fiat Punto, while it was doing the rounds around the Ranjangaon plant. Fiat has just introduced the new Linea and recently has added the Linea Classic to its fleet.
Now, however the company will be introducing three more products in this year. This will include the new Punto 2014, the Avventura and the Abarth 500. The Grande Punto will have a front similar to the Avventura and it will get brand new interiors too. The Grande Punto will be available with a 1.4-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre oil burner. The diesel engine will produce 75bhp of power and 190Nm of peak torque.
The cosmetic changes on the exterior include a new front grille and a re-designed rear-end. The ORVMs on the Grande Punto will also get turn indicators, just like the Fiat Linea. Interiors will be a dual-tone combination with a revised Blue and Me and music system. This will also have auxiliary connection too. The Avventura is based on the same platform, however it will have ground clearance in excess of 200mm and it will boast larger wheels and a tyre mounted on the tailgate. This will add to the glam of this crossover and give it a rugged feel.
