The New Maruti Swift fans are eagerly waiting for the closely approaching date of August 17th, on which the 2011 Maruti Swift is scheduled to be officially launched. Seemingly, it is difficult for anyone to notice any change in the New Maruti Swift at a single glance, however, the changes are not likely to go unnoticed either. The alterations in the headlamps and the new bumper design stare right in your face, with elongated headlamps which stretch halfway through the fender and the bumper which appears to plunge out from the bonnet as reported by our close source. Even the indicators seem to be integrated and the side rear view mirrors appear to have been redesigned.

As for the interiors, there appears to be a marked difference in the dashboard of the New Maruti Swift, supposed to have been borrowed from Maruti Kizashi with an integrated music system and climate control. The colour scheme adopted for the interiors seems to be predominantly grey. One can also observe another interesting feature with the audio control mounting the steering wheel on the 2011 Maruti Swift ZXi model, making its operation easy while handling the wheel. On the instrument panel, the multi-information display is hidden under the tachometer and speedometer, with the tiny temperature and fuel meters to complete the ensemble.

There is not much mentionable change at the new Maruti Swift rear end except for the change in the number plate position due to the slightly redesigned bumper at the rear. Also, the tail lamps appear to get a new look becoming larger and stretched over the flared rear fenders, with a clear-lens; and turn indicators are slightly larger than in the present Maruti Swift version. The spotted new Maruti Swift ZXi is fixed with 15-inch alloys and a new ten spoke pattern which remains standard and are shod with 195/60 R 15 tyres, however, the lower variants are likely to get steel wheels as per our close source.

As for the New Maruti Swift specifications, the 2011 model appears to be slightly larger than the current one, providing more inner space. The upgraded model is believed to be equipped with the same 1.2 litre petrol engine in VVT (variable Valve Timing) form, which is hoped to increase the maximum power output from the current 84 Bhp. The diesel variant will have 1.3 litres multi-jet engine. With the teaser website launched in the honour of 2011 Maruti Swift and the dealers also accepting, the bookings for this model seems to be pouring down excessively making the new Maruti Swift a class apart.
