The new Maruti Swift is surely the hottest thing in the Indian car market today. This new hatchback by Maruti India comes with 140 new features, which is surely very impressive.

The new Swift was launched in UP by the Chief General Manager of Maruti India, Network Development, Mr. Partho Banerjee. He told that the new Maruti Swift is launched at the right time as there was a huge demand for this model.

The new Maruti Swift is built on a new platform and is certainly much wider and longer than the previous model of Maruti Swift. The company engineers have put in their heart and soul in making this hatchback lighter in weight and provide better fuel efficiency than the previous model of this car. All new Maruti Swift has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants. The new Swift price is also pretty nominal, as the petrol version of Swift starts at Rs. 4.46 Lakh and the diesel variant of new Maruti Swift starts at Rs. 5.32 Lakh.3

Along with the launch in UP, the new Maruti Swift was also launched in Mumbai on August 17th. According to the statistics, the pre booking orders till 17th August 2011 morning was around 50000, which is surely an impressive figure. Another thing that was noticeable at the launch of the new Maruti Swift was that around 80% of the bookings done was for the diesel version of the new Swift and the rest of the 20% was for the petrol variant of new Maruti Swift.
