New Toyota Prius to be unveiled in January

Toyota Motor Corp will show off a coming variant of Toyota Prius hybrid in January as it plans to move away from a costly safety crisis that has dampened sales and damaged its once sparkling reputation.

Don Esmond, the senior vice president for auotomobile operations, Toyota Motor Sales USA, did not state and open with how the upcoming new model will be different from the Prius's current market. He mentioned that they will introduce the new model of Prius in January 2011 auto show in Detroit. Throwing some light on the new version, he said the all new version will come with more styling, comfort, ease, versatility but still holding the heart of original Toyota Prius.

The luxury car dominates hybrids market which accounts for 70 per cent of the global sales and Toyota wants to add to the Prius models.

Esmond was qouted saying that in 2011, they are planning to introduce new seven updated products.

A deal of $ 60 million has been signed with Tesla Motors by Toyota to make the new model an electric model of Rav4 SUV. It is one step ahead in the direction and a great alternatives for gasoline.

The company faced worst situation when the sales of its best selling models went down and they put up offers to attract buyers. Toyota did the surveys and with the suggestions from its customers, they will make the machine safety oriented and stated that they are recovering from the crisis.

Toyota Corolla sedans will roll out from a new plant in Mississippi in 20111, it will be the 10th Toyota plant in the North America.

The United States auto mobile sales are coming in pace in the month of October to become the best in the month of 2010. It is a positive sign as the US economy is slowly gearing up.
