Latest Update: The Kia Seltos has now been revealed. It will be available with three BS6 engine options and all the engines will be available with an automatic transmission too. Apart from the various powertrain options, Kia has also revealed some features of the Seltos. Read in detail about the compact SUV here.
We have caught a glimpse of the Kia Seltos’ interiors just a day before its official global unveil. Kia has already revealed the interior sketches of the Seltos’ Indian and global versions and these are evidently different from each other.
First up, the spy images confirm that the Kia Seltos will get an all-black interior theme. The Seltos will feature a digital-analogue 7-inch MID, the same size as the one on the Tata Harrier. It is positioned between the tachometer and speedometer and relays information regarding the drive position indicator (for automatic), engine and outside temperature, real-time fuel economy and range.
The Seltos’ steering wheel is a leather-wrapped, flat-bottomed unit with black stitching and controls for audio, telephony and cruise control. Just like the sketches revealed, the 10.25-inch floating touchscreen and instrument cluster are placed close together. A piano black-finished automatic climate control unit sits at the bottom of the touchscreen with two control knobs on either side. All these control touchpoints are finished in chrome. While the dashboard layout isn’t clearly visible, we can see some faux wooden finish besides the HVAC vents.
Other features on the Kia Seltos include ambiente lighting, electronic parking brake and Hyundai Venue-like connected features powered by an eSIM. So expect remote operation for engine on/off, AC and other safety features.
The Kia Seltos is expected to be priced within the Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh bracket with launch expected in September 2019. It will lock horns with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur.
