Update: After the success of the popular MPV Innova, Toyota has unveiled the next-gen Innova dubbed as Innova Crysta. The vehicle has already been launched in Indonesia and will come as a refreshing change in the Indian market after the decade long run of the original one. The new gen Innova Crysta comes with a lot of cosmetic changes including a large hexagonal front grille, projector head-lights with LED running lamps and more premium interiors inside. The engine has been refreshed as well with the presence of new 2.4 litre 2GD FTV four-cylinder diesel engine. Check out the complete Auto Expo coverage of Toyota Innova Crysta.
A few days earlier the brochure of 2016 Toyota Innova surfaced the internet and now more shots of the same have emerged revealing the rear of the popular MPV. The upcoming car have drastically changed over the current one. As what used to be a sober product has now transformed into more aggressive offering, a good thing though. Also, it is more aligned with Toyota’s latest design philosophy.
Speaking of the leaked images, the rear end now gets more angular and wide taillamps that spread out on the tailgate, while, what looks like indicators are hanging down on the boot lid meeting the upper lip of the bumpers. Apart from this, a haunch could be noticed over the rear wheel arch, something carried from the current Innova. Moreover, a low loading lip along with a square-ish rear windscreen is also reminiscent of the current car.

They will now house a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, a more advanced driver information cluster and a few more.
Under the hood, the next-gen Innova is expected to get a revised motor which will be pegged at 2.4-litre turbo diesel that is expected to produce 143 PS@3400rpm of power and 342 Nm of peak torque.
