The 2016 Delhi Auto Expo is on a full swing as of today and several new cars have been unveiled. From the Renault India stable, although the Kwid 1.0-litre with AMT did trigger the interest of many, the much-awaited unveil of the Duster facelift didn’t happen today. This has left the spectators waiting and wanting for more from the French automaker. The company has already announced that the new Duster will be unveiled tomorrow, amidst much fanfare, without a doubt.
The Duster is already a popular vehicle with both the critics and the masses singing praises of the car. Duster is the model that finally gave Renault a substantial nudge in India and since then the company has been postponing the launch of the facelift until this year’s Auto Expo, though other markets have already got the facelift.
The Duster facelift will provide several cosmetic updates to the SUV, starting from new front grille, headlamp assembly, alloy wheel designs and a tail lamp design. Changes are carried on the inside aswell - the update is expected to bring new seat upholstery and some changes to the dashboard too.
Mechanically, while the Duster will retain the existing engine line up, reports suggest that the facelift Duster might get a 6-speed AMT gearbox for the 110 PS version.
