True to the RS name, the Skoda Kodiaq RS offers multiple upgrades catered towards a sportier driving experience over the standard model
Skoda recently launched the 2025 Kodiaq in India. Offered in two variants, the model comes with an evolutionary look, a fully loaded cabin, and more power. However, if you’re looking for a more sporty version of the Kodiaq with more driving thrills, Skoda offers the Kodiaq RS in international markets. And there’s a ray of hope for enthusiasts in India as the Czech carmaker is expected to launch the sporty version of the Kodiaq in India.
Here is a quick look at what might be on offer with the Skoda Kodiaq RS.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Exterior Design

True to its name, the Skoda Kodiaq RS gets slightly tweaked design elements to denote it’s the sportier version. The signature Skoda grille is finished in black and has a vRS badge on it. The air dam is a size larger and the bumper has more lines and creases to give it an aggressive look.
While the silhouette is similar to the standard model, the Kodiaq RS rides on larger 20-inch wheels that look much more aggressive than the Kodiaq. To further drive the point of the RS being a sporty version, it comes with red brake callipers on all four wheels. Other design aspects such as body-coloured door handles, blacked-out ORVMs and wheel arches are similar to the Skoda Kodiaq Sportine we get here.
The rear gets split LED taillamps, which are similar to what's available with the standard model. One big difference between the standard and Kodiaq RS is the presence of a dual exhaust system, which further enhances the sporty appearance of the SUV. It also gets a vRS badge along with big ‘Skoda’ lettering in a glossy black finish.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Interior And Features
Changes have been made to the inside to denote that it’s the sportier Kodiaq. The cabin of the globally available Skoda Kodiaq RS is offered in an all-black theme with red stitching on the dashboard, seats and door handles that provide a pleasing contrast. It comes with a large, free-standing 13-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, both of which run on RS-specific graphics.
The gear shifter is located behind the steering wheel, which opens up more space on the centre console. The Kodiaq RS also comes with what Skoda calls Smart Dials, which can multifunction between AC, the infotainment system and drive modes.
In terms of features, the globally available Skoda Kodiaq RS comes with a 13-inch touchscreen system, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, triple-zone auto AC, heated front seats, two wireless phone chargers, a Canton sound system, and ambient lighting.
Passenger safety is taken care of with the help of 9 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, ISOFIX child seat anchors on the middle and rear rows, a rearview camera with front and rear parking sensors, and blind spot detection.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Powertrain
The Skoda Kodiaq RS comes with the same engine that's on offer with the standard Kodiaq, but it produces more power and torque.
Engine |
2-litre turbo petrol |
Power |
265 PS (+61 PS over standard Kodiaq) |
Torque |
400 Nm (+80 Nm over standard Kodiaq) |
Transmission |
7-speed Dual clutch transmission (DCT) |
Drivetrain |
All wheel drive (AWD) |
Acceleration (0-100 kmph) |

Along with a powerful engine, the Skoda Kodiaq RS also comes with dynamic chassis control (DCC), which allows changing of the damper stiffness on the fly. It also comes with progressive steering, which improves agility at high speeds and reduces the effort required to manoeuvre the vehicle at low speeds. Along with that, it also comes with ventilated disc brakes for all four wheels and two-piston brake callipers on the front axle.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Expected Price
If launched in India, the Skoda Kodiaq RS will be available on our shores as a fully imported model. And that means it won’t be cheap. It will come at a premium over the standard Kodiaq, which is priced from Rs 46.89 lakh to Rs 48.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
